SOWING THE SEEDS OF CHANGE

Our innovative approaches to eliminating hunger while reducing waste and bolstering the fresh food economy are setting us apart from traditional hunger relief organizations.

Here are some of the ways we're working toward a hunger free tomorrow.

SHARING OUR
RESOURCES

Our work is more than sharing food.

Through an expansive network of hunger relief agencies, advocates and industry supporters we continue to innovate approaches and share resources to eliminate hunger and nutrient disparities among those challenged by food insecurity. Want to join our network? Let's talk!

INVESTING IN AGRICULTURE

Central to our work is investing in farmers and ranchers to ensure that nutrient-dense and culturally relevant foods remain widely accessible to all members of the community. By making a donation to EWFR or purchasing produce and fresh foods for your own home you are making a worthwhile investment in the fresh food economy.

Owner, Treehouse Farm

“We are a diverse, mid-size farm, and the margins are often slim. Each year the retail industry sets higher standards for appearance and price. Each season we have perfectly good produce go to waste because there is no other market than the retail. When EastWest Food Rescue is able to buy this produce, it contributes significantly to our bottom line."
